Low Profile Cart Conveyor

The Low Profile Cart (LPC) Conveyor is specifically designed for use in areas where track height, product and personnel mobility, and economy of installation are critical to the application. The unique feature of the LPC conveyor is that is has an on-floor (or below floor level) mounting track which eliminates the problems and related costs associated with an elevated support structure.

With a track height of just 3.25", the LPC eliminates the need for personnel crossovers and reduces the likelihood of employee entanglement with the structure. The LPC conveyor provides complete accessibility throughout the plant floor, promoting a safer working environment.

The LPC is also uniquely designed to reduce the time and costs associated with maintenance. The chain and pushers ride in the conveyor track on special low-friction wear material which lessens metal-to-metal contact and subsequent wear, thus virtually eliminating maintenance requirements.

The LPC conveyor is designed using the X458 chain as the load carrying device. The track is constructed in such a manner that a special wear material rides under the chain and in contact with the bottom of the track. This idler supports the chain and provides a low friction wear surface.

The carts are driven by a pin on the cart connected to the X458. The chain is driven by a below floor level "Caterpillar" drive known for it's smooth interaction with the X458 chain.

A variable speed AC inverter controls the chain speed, allowing the conveyor to be run at the optimum production rate.

Conversion from DeBurgh System:
An economical alternative to replacing a DeBurgh conveyor is a simple conversion to the Low Profile Cart system. All the existing finishing equipment (paint spray booths, ovens, etc.) can be used with the LPC. The X458 chain from the DeBurgh system can be re-used in the LPC.
